Project Background

Finley Structures is a well established business based in Aycliffe Business Park. Like many businesses, Finley Structures was paying the Climate Change Levy (CCL) on its energy bills without realising they may have been eligible for a rebate. With rising operational costs, identifying opportunities to recover overpaid energy charges became increasingly important.

What we did

Finley Structures approached us to help them reclaim overpaid energy costs through the Climate Change Levy (CCL) scheme. The aim was to recover funds the business was entitled to, boosting cash flow and supporting future growth. Here is what we did:

• Identified that Finley Structures was eligible for a CCL reclaim

• Agreed with the client that this route was the most reliable and successful option

• Gained a clear understanding of Finley Structures’ energy usage, billing history and business needs

• Collected all key information required to support a strong reclaim submission

• Fully prepared and submitted the CCL reclaim on behalf of the client

• Liaised with energy providers and relevant parties throughout the process

• Supported Finley Structures throughout receiving the funds

  
  

We successfully secured a £19,000 CCL rebate, helping Finley Structures recover significant costs that could be reinvested in their team and operations. This rebate removed a major financial barrier and demonstrated the value of reviewing energy bills for potential rebates and savings.
