Harvey McWilliams Foundation
£2,000 Grant Funding for New Heating.
Darlington
Project Background
Harvey McWilliams Foundation was founded in 2022 by Michael McWilliams in memory of his son Harvey, providing football equipment to families in need. The foundation’s building had no heating, making it uncomfortable for visitors and staff. Through the Tees Valley Net Zero programme, the foundation was able to access a Net Zero grant, including fully funded consultancy support and energy audits, to upgrade their heating system and reduce carbon emissions.
What we did
We guided the foundation through the Net Zero grant process and ensured they could take full advantage of the funding and consultancy support.
Assessed the building and identified the most effective heating solutions
Collected all necessary project and energy information for the application
Fully prepared and submitted the grant application on behalf of the foundation
Liaised with funders throughout the process and resolved queries
Secured the Net Zero grant to fund the heating upgrade
Coordinated the fully funded consultancy support and an energy audit to guide sustainability improvements
Supported the foundation through receiving the grant and completing the heating installation
The project has provided a warm and welcoming space for staff and visitors, while reducing carbon emissions and giving the foundation a clear strategy for sustainable operations moving forward.
