Project Background

Principal Teachers is a education recruitment provider based in Colburn, North Yorkshire. With over 25 years of experience, the family run business supplies teachers, teaching assistants, cover supervisors and SEND specialists to schools across North Yorkshire, Darlington and the York area. Metrick working in partnership with Harvey Electrical Services allowed Principal Teachers to be introduced to grant funding opportunities. They required solar panels to be installed at their school to reduce rising energy costs and improve long term sustainability.

What we did

We worked in partnership with Harvey Electrical Services to support Principal Teachers in securing grant funding for the solar panel installation, ensuring a coordinated process from start to finish.

• Identified a suitable grant to fund the solar panel installation

• Agreed with all parties that this funding route was the most reliable and successful option

• Gained a clear understanding of Principal Teachers’ energy usage, sustainability goals and project requirements

• Worked closely with Harvey Electrical Services to gather technical and project specific information

• Fully wrote and submitted the grant application on behalf of the client

• Liaised with the funders throughout the entire process

• Supported the delivery of the project, resulting in a completed installation and a happy client for Harvey Electrical Services

  
  

This collaborative approach ensured the school benefited from reduced costs of the project due to securing £20,000, while Harvey Electrical Services delivered a successful project for their client.
