West Lothian Golf Club
£8,000, Grant Funding awarded for Solar Panels.
Scotland
Project Background
West Lothian Golf Club is a well established golf club serving its local community, with facilities that required significant energy usage throughout the year. Rising electricity costs and a desire to improve sustainability led the club to explore renewable energy solutions. Installing solar panels on the clubhouse roof was identified as an effective way to reduce energy bills and lower carbon emissions, however securing funding was essential to make the project financially viable.
What we did
We worked closely with West Lothian Golf Club to identify suitable grant funding and manage the full application process for the solar panel installation.
Learned about the clubs needs and identified a grant that supported their project
Agreed with the club that this funding was the most reliable and successful option
Gained a clear understanding of the club’s energy usage, project scope and sustainability goals
Collected all technical and organisational information required for the application
Fully wrote and submitted the grant application on behalf of the club
Liaised with the funders throughout the process to ensure smooth communication
Successfully secured £8,000 in grant funding
Supported the club through receiving the funds and implementing the solar installation
This funding has helped the club reduce energy costs, improve sustainability and invest savings back into the facilities for members and visitors.
